Fifth and Final Post

Last Wednesday was the last class before our class's art show. This class period I was matting my 12 pictures and honestly I was struggling with it. My first try showed too much of the white outside border. I slowed down and focused more on ensuring my marks were in the center and the exacto knife was cutting right through the matte boards. Once I was in the grove it did not take me long to finish the rest of my prints.

I chose this print to be the picture in this blog post because it was my favorite print for the semester. I liked how it conveys this dark and mysterious feel to it. It takes you awhile to realize what it is and i like that unknown certainty of this light bulb. The picture was taken at night and the camera angle is coming form behind so that is why i think we only see the bright light on the otter edge of the light bulb. The rest is this transparent outline. It is simple yet keeps the interest of people with its mysteriousness.
