For this last blog post, I decided to post this picture of my mother and brother. I chose this picture for two reasons. First, I was intrigued by the immediate contrast of their shadows. To me, it stands out the most compared to the rest of the image. Along with that, their shadows are placed a little off from the center, which pulls your attention more to it. The second reason why I posted this picture is because of the gray tones. I feel that there are many different shades of gray but it seems to blend well together.
I struggled a lot with printing this image at first because the image would come out very light. It took me several tries to realize that I need to triple the printing time. Once I did that, I got better results and I did not have to do much editing after that.
When looking at this picture, I instantly get a feeling of family, love, and bonding. Although they are not facing the camera, the way they are holding hands and walking forward gives the picture a deeper meaning.
