This week I worked in printing this photo. I enjoyed doing this because I enjoy the actual photo. The first thing I wanted to achieve was to get the detail of the dirt on the top of the birdhouse, but also have detail in the front. This was a tough task because the contrast of the two were different The roof was highly exposed to sunlight, while the front was in the shadow caste by the roof. The other thing I found challenging was getting the detail to show in the back tarp that covered other plants. This also had conflicting contrast throughout the entire thing. The right side was in a shadowed area, while the left was exposed to the sunlight much more. When I got that detail of all the wrinkles and dimples in the tarp to show, it really brought a different dimension to the photo. Overall, the challenges I faced doing this photo were not to bad, although it did take me a few try's with burning and dodging to accomplish that.
