11/11

This week, I spent both class sessions working on this photo. I was able to find the right time frame to capture detail and texture within the wood of the gate, but struggled to make its background fit. This photo required dodging, and burning. The top right corner needed a slight amount of burning, while the entire bottom left corner needed an extensive amount of burning. To get this photo to blend well, I had to set multiple time frames for multiple sections of the photo. It was extremely challenging to get these times and techniques perfect. On another note, I chose this negative to develop because I liked the way the shadow from the gate was casted onto the ground. I also like the way the wood constrast's its area, making it a focal point of a photo.
