Second Blog
For my second blog I choose to use this photo because of the symmetry and textural feel of the photo itself. This is a picture of cylinder rails used to block atv's and dirt bikes from crossing a bridge into the woods. Personally I liked the rough and gritty look the rails have acquired over the years from hikers and other outdoor enthusiasts squeezing through them to enter the trails. The main reason I took this picture is because these poles are set up in a maze like structure when trying to pass through them. This photo was interesting to me also because of the way the leaves and vines are tangled protruding in and out of the fences on both sides. When taking this picture I used my flash considering it was getting darker at the time, therefore the railings from middle down are a slight bit lighter which could've used more burning but I generally liked how the trail behind the poles remained dark and weary.
